Kathy Macauley began her artistic pursuits at an early age, which began with drawing, she went on to attend George Brown College where she studied graphic design and advertising then after several years of industry experience she became an educator teaching advertising, illustration and graphic design at George Brown and Niagara College.
Presently Kathy has completed 5 years of teaching Visual arts at a local private school named Bronte College and presently teaches at Holy Name of Mary College School and the Queen Elizabeth Community centre part-time. Kathy has a passion for sharing her knowledge with others, she also operates a private studio out of her home, has participated in various art conventions, and submits her work in local art shows.
Kathy consistently upgrades her skill level and has completed a certificate in digital skills at OCAD University. She shares her artistic abilities and holds an art camp for children in the summer. She also provides private tutoring for students wanting to apply
for post-secondary education.
As an educator and designer her mission is to bring art alive on various surfaces using mediums of paint, ink, coloured pencils, watercolours, digital, sculpture and other mixed mediums . Set design has become an additional skillset in Kathy's toolbox as she builds sets for school plays creating everything from trees to trains to schoolbuses for performances.
Kathy is enthusiastic about art and creativity in all forms and is affiliated with the following organizations; namely
the The Association For Registered Graphic Designers, Mississauga Arts Council and Joshua Creek Heritage centre. Kathy continues to explore her creativity presently working on new paintings and pottery.
